Groundbreaking women journalists at IJAsia16 in Kathmandu.

Welcome to IJAsia18! On behalf of your hosts—the Global Investigative Journalism Network, the Korea Center for Investigative Journalism (Newstapa), and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung—we wish you a big hello! An nyeong ha se yo!

Get ready for an extraordinary event. From October 5 to 7, 2018, we’re bringing together top investigative reporters, data journalists, and media law and security experts from across Asia and around the world.

This is our 3rd Asia conference and our first time in northeast Asia, and we expect a record crowd. You can follow the growing buzz on Twitter at #IJAsia18.

Our conferences are giant training events, so expect over 50 panels, workshops, and special events packed with top investigative reporters ready to share their skills and secrets. Topics include exposing cross-border corruption, advanced data analysis, online detective work, multimedia production, using drones, sensors and satellite imagery. Plus, there will be plenty of time for networking meet-ups to brainstorm and collaborate with colleagues from around the world. See you in Seoul!
